OsiriX PRO Workshop am 5. und 6.11.2010 in Salzburg

Medizinische Bilder stellen eine immer größer werdende Herausforderung dar. OsiriX ist eine hervorragende, mehrfach international ausgezeichnete Software, die sich dieser Herausforderung stellt. Mit diesem Kurs möchten wir den Teilnehmern die Möglichkeit geben, aycan workstation OsiriX PRO besser kennenzulernen. With this App by aycan you can see videos with dubbing in English Language that train the aycan workstation OsiriX PRO software. The 35 videos are separated into 7 chapters, from the initial preferences configuration over basic and advanced image viewing and manipulation to anonymizing and exporting. Both beginners and advanced users can learn from several workflows of handling, viewing and manipulating medical image data.
Seven videos are instantly available, 28 videos can be purchased through In App Purchase.
Most of the content is also valid for the Free Open Source Version OsiriX.

AAA stentgraft planing with OsiriX PRO and SOVA.evar

SOVA.evar, a plugin designed by SOVAmed using aycan's Mac based OsiriX PRO visualization software (the only class II CE marked and FDA cleared version of the successful Open Source DICOM viewer OsiriX) offers processing and visualization of medical imaging data. SOVA.evar focuses on abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA) and assesses clinically relevant parameters more precisely, easily and faster than any other current market offering.

Das DICOM Monster

Heute hatten wir bei aycan Gelegenheit den 12 Core Mac Pro mit OsiriX PRO zu testen. Das System beeindruckt zuerst einmal mit der rasanten Ladegeschwindigkeit. 1600 CT Bilder werden in 8 Sekunden von der Festplatte (10.000 U/min) in den 32 GB großen Arbeitspeicher geladen. Dies entspricht einer Ladegeschwindigkeit von 200 CT-Bildern/Sekunde.


Das ressourcenhungrige 3D Volumerendering läuft mit der Becken-Bein CTA-Serie mit 1600 Bildern ruckelfrei in höchster Qualität auf einem 5 Megapixel Monitor. Die 12 Prozessorkerne werden beim rotieren maximal zu 2/3 ausgelastet.


Fazit: Der über 12 Proressorkerne verfügende Mac Pro ist im Zusammenspiel mit OsiriX PRO eine sehr schnelle DICOM PACS Workstation, die in punkto Leistung, Bedienbarkeit und Funktionsvielfalt ihresgleichen sucht.
